Who We Are

Jennifer Gresham-Argueta, M.Ed.

     Jennifer is a lifelong educator whose work has spanned over 30 years. Beginning as a volunteer tutor and substitute teacher while still in college, she dedicated her life to improving the quality of classroom education for both students and teachers across school districts and states. She went on to teach middle school science and mathematics, before being selected to coach and train teachers and administrators on pedagogical skills and curricula implementation in Prince George's County Public Schools in Maryland. Jennifer also obtained a Masters in Education with a specialization in K-12 Instructional Technology, as well as post-graduate studies in Urban Education, concentrating in the understanding and dispelling deficit thinking of marginalized groups inside learning communities. Presently, she is the Founding Director of Educational Vanguards.

LaShelle Ferguson, MPA, MAT

LaShelle is a creative passionate educator who has served parents and students for the past 25 years.  She is certified in secondary social studies and previously taught US History and World Cultures/History.  As an instructional coach in the central office of her school district for the last 6 years, LaShelle supports new teachers, primarily social studies, to build their capacity to promote solid teaching and learning in classrooms.  She is certified in Charlotte Danielson’s Framework for Teaching which serves as the foundation of instructional practice for her district.  LaShelle is the recipient of The Christa McAuliffe and Bowie Teacher of the Year awards for outstanding teaching.  She holds a Master of Arts in Public Administration (MPA), a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) and a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Politics.
